Calculate your minimum price
Use the calculator below to work out what one appointment needs to bring in.
Your hourly target should already allow for overhead, tax and the return you want from the business.
What the number means
This is your price floor—not a guaranteed market price.
It values the time blocked by the booking at your hourly target, adds the direct costs created by the appointment, then rounds the total up to the next pound.
Minimum price = ((service time + setup and cleanup time + travel time) ÷ 60 × hourly income target) + fuel, parking and other direct costs.
Time includes the service, setup, cleanup and the travel required for that booking.
Use it as a starting point when setting your prices. Compare it with your positioning, local alternatives and what clients are willing to pay.
Count the whole booking
A mobile appointment takes more than the time with the client.
Include:
- The full return journey
- Setup and cleanup
- Fuel or charging
- Parking and road charges
- Products and other consumables
For several clients in one day, allocate shared travel consistently so you do not count the same journey twice.
